Why can't people watch and enjoy the show without all the crazy criticism?

The show is well-acted and well-produced.

I have read the Silmarillion, The Hobbit, and LOTR trilogy. I am not looking for a 100% re-creation of the books. I want to watch something that can draw me into the story and live in Middle Earth for a while. The show has done that for me.

I am disappointed that we may have to wait until 2024 for season two.
