I spent many years in the US Navy. During that time, it was drilled into us “loose lips sink ships.” In other words be careful what you say. You never know whose listening. The information might not be classified but might be useful for espionage against US Interests.

Roll forward to 1991–1992. The Gulf War is in full swing. Daily, the Joint Chief of Staff and the Secretary of Defense are giving briefings.

I am scratching my head because to me they are giving out WAY too much information. The tactic they were using was to give the enemy so much misinformation mixed in with some truthful information to confuse the Iraq’s intelligence analysts.

To keep the electorate confused and off balance, I believe it is highly possible that political strategist are using psychological tactics developed in the Pentagon against their own citizens.

They tell their constituents what they need to hear to get reelected then they pander to the people who fund their reelections. Damn the rest of the country and the world.
