I loved this story. I use to be a coaster junkie. I remember the ratcheting sound as you climb up that steel or wooden mountain. All you see is the sky as you get closer to the first drop. In a matter of seconds, you are flying down the steel hill, reaching speeds of over sixty miles per hour.

Years ago, while at a computer server conference in Orlando, I went on a behind the scenes tour of the Hulk at Universal. A Cray computer (very high end) ran the safety features for the ride. The Hulk catapulted you over the first hill. By the time you hit the peak, you wondered if you were going to space.

Your story invoked the thoughts I entertained while climbing to the top of many different coasters. Thanks for the memories. LOL.
