Hey, that is right out of my playbook. I was disinterested in school. I have an insatiable curiosity, but I learn best on my terms. I guess I am an autodidact. In high school and even my first round at college, I couldn’t write worth a crap. Didn’t care. Some may conclude I still can’t. I went back to college in my thirties and had a little schoolmarm looking English professor unlock the door to my writer’s heart. It has been a burning in my soul since.
